Leo was adopted by Gale and Jimmy Eversole here in Northern CA.
Hello out there. Please let me introduce myselt-my name is Leo. When I first arrived here in Redding from a shelter in Southern CA , they were calling me Tofuti. Well, I really did not like that nor did my foster parents who found it amusing to call me Tutti Frutti! Maybe you can see by the photo that someone else found that shaving my tail to look like a lion was the thing to do. I'm not crazy about this look either, but it saved me from being called Tofuti (or variations thereof) and for that I am grateful. I am a young boy, and on the small side for a guy. I know that bothers some males, but I am secure in my manhood-or what's left of it. I play nice with other dogs and am very affectionate with humans. I have had eye surgery since arriving here, and now I'm ready for my forever home. If you are looking to adopt a Pei , I am the complete package!

Bertha has been adopted by Cody Ghosthorse and now lives with her Pei brother Zack in Northern CA.
Hi folks. It's nice to meet you. My name is Bertha, and my companion's name is Simon. I think I'll just do the talking for both of us since it will be easier that way. I'm not saying Simon is not capable of speaking for himself because he certainly is. We were found together as strays-interesting how that happens and how the person turning us in knows so much about us. Hmmm....anyway, we get along very well together and want to stay together as a couple because we truly like each other. It was thought I was pregnant (I guess Simon might have liked me a little too much) when we came to Redding, but thankfully that was a false alarm! Now we have both been altered, and I have had entropion surgery as well. We are healthy and happy and eager to please-not to mention quite the handsome couple. I am the black horsecoat and that leaves Simon to be the red fawn brushcoat. We would appreciate it if you would not ask that we be split up-we wouldn't ask that of you. We are both young adults and ready for the family looking for "double or nothing".

Mr. Wrinkles has been adopted by Mike Lopez and now lives in Southern CA.
My name is Mr. Wrinkles-quite the original name, and I have a little bit of a different story, but maybe even worse than the normal "no one came to claim me at the shelter". My foster parents were notified of me by the staff at a shelter in Auburn, CA. I was taken from my owner due to neglect. She chained me outside with little human contact. I'm not sure how long that went on, but however long it may have been it was too long! I really like humans in spite of this terrible treatment, and all things considered I'm not in too bad of shape. The vet who took care of me until I could hitch a ride to Redding neutered me and did entropion surgery for me to. Thank you Dr. Ed-at least for the eye surgery! I'm just a young man who doesn't mind spending time in the back yard as long as it's with my people and not at the end of a chain. I don't know what else to say except that I just need a second chance to be a companion to someone who will treat me as the special Pei that I am. Whoever that might be-the first order of business has to be to get rid of this pink collar! What were they thinking?????????

Bamboo has been adopted by Gary and Sheryl and now lives in the San Francisco area.
I'm one of the new kids on the block. My name is Bamboo-it is strange to be named after a plant, but I had nothing to do with picking it-it was already my name when I got to Redding. I came here by way of AZ, which is a nice place to visit, but I think I prefer Redding. I have lots of love to give both to other dogs and people. I happened to hear my foster parents talking about me-really I'm not an eavesdropper, but I really wanted to know what they were saying about me. It was all good. My foster dad was saying he got down to talk to me and I put both paws around his neck and pulled him closer so I could plant a "big wet one" on him. I thought it was great fun, and I guess he did too-he tells everyone what a great guy I am. Who would not want a kiss from a big handsome guy such as myself? I might be new here, but I don't really want to grow old here. Please consider me if you are thinking about a new family member. I am willing to relocate again...
