Happy Ends

We are very proud of our hundreds of successful adoptions, and the many happy families that have returned to adopt from us again, and again, over the years.

Here are photos of some of our adopted kids. You can search by dog or family name.

Jessie

Jessie has been adopted by the Nanbu family in Walnut Creek, CA.

Luna

Luna was adopted by Lynn and will now call Cardiff by the Sea home.

Tater Tot

Tater Tot was adopted by Alexa and James in Walnut Creek.

Hello. I am new to Redding, coming from a shelter in Martinez, CA. I know there is no accounting for taste, and I know now that goes for picking out a name for your four legged friends as well. Someone named me “Tater Tot”, and it stuck! What is wrong with people? Well, no sense going into that right now because I don’t have that much time. Back to my name. I’m not sure why someone thought it was a good choice, but I guess the color might be close. If someone thought my shape resembled a tater tot, I would have to be offended-I am not that round! I am a young girl-a beautiful fawn brushcoat. I am very fun loving and outgoing. I love attention and most other dogs. I have been here long enough to have been spayed and have my eyes done. If you’re thinking of adding a new member to your family, I just might be the girl for you. After all, who doesn’t love tater tots??????

Rollie

Rollie was adopted by Cheryl in Redding.

My name is Rollie, and I thought I had better update you on my new status
here at the rescue. As you might remember, I came into the rescue with my
companion, Ronnie. Sadly, recently Ronnie passed away due to natural causes
which leaves me on my own. When I got here, I really didn't think I could
make it on my own without Ronnie, but I am adjusting to my new situation and
doing ok. Right now I am in boarding and training for two weeks just so I
will get to know some basic commands and have some manners. Mind you, I was
never a "bad" dog, I just get excited to see people and want to show my
enthusiasm by jumping up and kissing everyone because I love people. I
guess some people don't find that particularly endearing so I am trying to
contain myself around new people. I guess it's better to wait for the
kissing until I get to know people better, but I just have so much love to
give that I want to show it right away! I get along with other dogs, and
it's thought that I am some sort of Cocker Spaniel mix. I don't really
think what I am matters. What matters is that I can make some lucky family
very happy-you just have to like kisses!
