20 Years of Rescuing Homeless and Abandoned Dogs
Thanks to all of you for a successful 2017 in so many ways. The most wonderful thing for us is that there were dogs adopted that we thought might live with us for the rest of their lives. Daisy was here for five years before being adopted by Sarah. Gus was here for three years before being adopted by Terri. Biggie left after 3½ years when Kristen took him home to Las Vegas. Sometimes it just takes longer than others for the “right” person to make the connection with one of our “kids”. I believe the right home is out there for each of our Pei, we just all have to be patient until that “love connection” can be made, no matter how long it takes.
We are hoping for a great 2018. It will be Homeward Bound’s 20th anniversary of rescuing Shar Pei. I don’t know exactly how many Pei have been saved by this organization in the last 20 years, but for us it has never been about numbers. It is about doing right by every dog we take into our program-giving them the best care possible in every way.
Thanks to all of you for a very successful and fulfilling 20 years. This rescue has been our passion, and our “calling”, and we’re not done yet!
