Adopt a Shar-Pei

I am happy to report that I am still in this world-that's why I'm smiling! My name is Daisy, and I was dropped off at a shelter in Merced, CA, to be put down because I had an ear infection. It was offered to the person who left me there that the folks at the shelter would provide some meds if they would take me back home while the shelter staff looked for a safe place for me to go. The answer was "NO" without hesitation, and I was left to die. It was then that the shelter contacted this rescue to see if they could help me, and the rest, as they say, is history. I am a little timid when I first meet new people, but who can blame me after what I've been through. Once you gain my trust, I will be a loyal and devoted companion. My foster parents think the ear story was just used to justify leaving me behind, because they say my ears are not a problem. I am a beautiful apricot dilute brushcoat girl with a mellow temperament. I've heard it said that the eyes are the windows to the soul. What do you see in mine?
